Position Description:
We are seeking an electrical construction Project Manager who will be responsible for leading large-scale construction projects ($50M+) with a focus on electrical scopes, including power distribution, substations, industrial electrical systems, and infrastructure projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety, quality, and contract requirements.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in construction project management with a strong understanding of electrical systems, contractor coordination, and financial oversight. This position requires collaboration with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to execute successful electrical construction projects.

Salary Range: $175k - $195k/year

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Management
- Oversee all construction activities, ensuring seamless execution from planning to project closeout.
- Develop and implement project plans, including scheduling, procurement, and resource allocation for electrical components.
- Coordinate daily/weekly meetings with field teams, superintendents, and engineers to ensure work progresses per contract requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards (NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
- Financial Oversight
- Monitor and control project budgets, costs, and financial performance, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Accountable for forecasting labor and material costs and tracking actual expenditures.
- Review, approve, and negotiate change orders related to electrical work.
- Oversee client billing and ensure timely payments.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, engineers, and subcontractors regarding construction progress and challenges.
- Maintain detailed records related to job progress, cost tracking, change orders, and compliance documentation.
- Present project updates, progress reports, and financial forecasts to key stakeholders.
- Work closely with utilities, permitting agencies, and inspectors to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Safety & Quality Control
- Enforce project safety policies and ensure all work is performed following OSHA, NFPA, and NEC standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections for electrical installations, wiring, and system performance.
- Implement project control processes, including earned value analysis (EVA) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress.
- Identify and address potential risks to avoid project delays and cost overruns.
- Lead final testing, inspections, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Oversee completion of as-built documentation, operation manuals, and training for facility personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- 12+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects, with a focus on electrical scopes.
- Strong background in power distribution, electrical infrastructure, and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret and manage electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers on electrical projects.
- Proficiency in project scheduling, estimating, and cost control.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam).
